So when we heard that Redding had a food truck hub with rotating food trucks we knew we would be hitting it up. We love food trucks! Seriously, we have visited cities just for food trucks (oh hey, Portland!). Today the theater is home of the Northstate Symphony's Redding performances and provides a state-of-the-art venue for a diverse array of arts and cultural events. This historic theater opened its doors in 1935 and stands as a beautiful example of Art Deco design of the time. The garners are open daily 7am - 5pm for $4 admission fee located at 844 Sundial Bridge Drive. On the quiet day we spent in the garden we were able to bike around the gardens. The Gardens comprise 20 acres of mediterranean-climate display gardens, a children’s garden, a medicinal garden, and two beautiful and unique water features. It wold be best to visit this outdoor garden in the spring or early summer while the flowers are in full-bloom.
This bike ride helped us work up an appetite while we got to explore the city. You can access the bath in three places, Hilltop Drive, Caldwell Park, and the Sundial Bridge (as we did). We enjoyed using this path as a reason to get our bikes out to spend some time outside. Sacramento river trailĪ 9 miles long trail along the banks of the Sacramento River, this trail is perfect for biking, running, roller blading. The bridge was designed by Santiago Calatrava, completed in 2004 at a cost of US$23.5 million! The bridge spans the Sacramento River and lets you navigate back and further across the river. The most famous landmark in Redding, this bridge does double-duty as a pedestrian walkway as well as a (mostly) working sundial. My only fuss was the bathroom could use a little scrubbing-but there was a "wine/craft beer tasting" event right by their restaurant that day so maybe they had gotten slammed with bathroom patrons.Things to do in Redding, California: Sundial Bridge
We're from out of town so there may be a better way to get there, we don't know. GREAT PIZZA-seriously! Friendly people working there too! This place is located in a little brick mall in the downtown area so just keep looking! We couldn't see them from the street until we turned down into a little Mall & there they were. Coke products & I think they have beer too.

Plus the hot honey stuff! make sure you have them add some of it too if u like a little sweet kick, it's not too sweet though, very good! One pizza is plenty or you could share one + have a salad (They have 2 different salads that you can also add chicken to.) & together that would be a great meal. Each pizza is 10 in wide, thin crispy crust, lots of different flavors offered with red, garlic oil, etc. Aaron was quick to greet us & explain their pizzas. Casual with a small seating area about 20-28 people, looks like they have a lot of take-out orders too.
